New Exhibit: Game On! The Evolution of Sports in Chilliwack

We are thrilled to announce our upcoming annual exhibit: Game On! The Evolution of Sports in Chilliwack. Chilliwack’s sporting history is as long as its history as a community.

The exhibit will run from October 22, 2015 to September 6, 2016. The opening reception will be held on October 29, 2015 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm at the Museum at 45820 Spadina Avenue. All are welcome, free admission.

After marking the end of an era and saying goodbye to our talented Museum Educator, who retired this past April, we are now accepting applications from dynamic and committed individuals interested to serve as our Education and Engagement Coordinator (pdf).

The Coordinator will not only lead our dynamic and popular School Programs, but will also play a key role in connecting the Museum with people in new and innovative ways. This is a terrific opportunity for someone with energy and ideas, who loves local history and enjoys working with people of all ages.

TEDxChilliwack Announces Museum Venue

Chilliwack’s historic City Hall, now home to our Museum, has long served as the focal point of our community, and a gathering place for important meetings and speeches. In February 2016, the Museum will once again take on this role as the venue for TEDxChilliwack.

2015 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting of the Chilliwack Museum and Historical Society will take place on Saturday, May 2nd at 1:00 pm at the Chilliwack Museum (45820 Spadina Avenue).

The business of the meeting will be the presentation of the 2014 audited financial report, election of officers and directors and other such business that promotes the Society.
